Obituary Information
The Wilson Historical Museum Genealogy Database contains information for individuals primarily from Wilson and the surrounding area including: Cornish, Dillard, Hewitt, Orr, Reck, Rexroat, Simon and Zaneis. We also have information on many individuals from Ardmore, Healdton, Ringling and numerous other communities in the region.
Our information collection process begins with any mention of a deceased person contained in the Wilson newspaper. This information is often supplemented with other sources. Examples of the information we collect include: obituaries, information about accidents that claimed the lives of individuals, brief announcements about someone attending a funeral, etc.
Printed copies of our information are available by mail for a nominal fee. Fees are determined by the amount of information being provided, and any additional research that may be required to complete your request.
